Funda Tabak

Hello.

I’m Funda.

I write about the rooms I have actually sat in

PMP® Project Manager working across technology, people and business.

Most of my work sits somewhere between people, processes, and what we said we would deliver. Projects rarely go exactly as planned, which is probably why I find them interesting.

This is where I write about what I learn along the way: working with teams, sponsors, vendors, and stakeholders, making decisions with imperfect information, and figuring out what to do when things don’t go as planned.

Just things I’ve seen, tried, learned, and sometimes got wrong.

Looking to hire? My LinkedIn covers my experience, About has the fuller story, and Writing shows how I think and execute.

Here to learn? Lessons Learned and Resources are the practical places to start.

Things nobody puts in the plan:

The short version: what happened, what I learned, and what I’d do differently.

  • The brief changed after everyone agreed.
  • The vendor had to be replaced.
  • The team stopped moving in the same direction.
